Mini desserts remain a hot trend in the restaurant world, so Toronto’s Allan Candy Co. decided to create their own small indulgence for candy lovers.
You probably know Allan as the chocolate Easter rabbit people with bunny ears in their name.
The first four flavours of these soft chewy bites, the size of rabbit droppings, feature popular restaurant desserts: Strawberry Shortcake, Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake and Apple Pie.
It’s amazing what flavour experts can do with sugar, flavouring and palm oil. A white yogurty coating on the Strawberry Shortcake actually fills the mouth with creaminess, and the jelly inside has a lovely hit of fruit. Apple Pie hints of cinnamon and vanilla with a tart green apple centre, while Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake combines a creamy chocolate coating with a raspberry jelly.
If you look at the scrumptious photo on each package, you’d swear you were eating the real dessert without the gargantuan fat and calorie count.
